Umuryango wo Gushyigikira AMAkoperative in acronyms UGAMA, is National Non-Governmental Organization for Supporting to Cooperatives and community-based organizations (CBOs).

UGAMA was created on July 1st, 1985 by the Centre of cooperatives trainings and research (IWACU), and COOPBBU a Belgian Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). In the beginning it was known as CSC (Centre de Service aux Coopératives) and it was set as a Centre to provide services to cooperatives and groupings for helping them to manage better their joint ventures, to reach the necessary technical knowledge and financial means so that they can better reach the member’s aims.

Contribute to the increase of the standard of living and the improvement of the socio-economic conditions of the community through the development of cooperatives.

Capacity Development of Cooperatives.

Cooperatives are economically sustainable and professionally managed and responsive to their members and neighboring communities.
