Milk Collection Centres in Rwanda Set to Be Upgraded

Today, UGAMA team  enumerators and Experts ) in partnership with Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board, through the activity of quantitative and  qualitative data collection (profiling) under the Rwanda Dairy Development Project – Phase II (RDDP-2) aims to assess the performance and needs of dairy cooperatives managing Milk Collection Centres across Rwanda ,so they visited KOAIB MCC Byimana, RUZICO MCC,COOPAGIKI MCC Kinazi ,KOTUA,  all in Ruhango district. They visits also MCC Rukoma,MCC Kayenzi,MCC Rugobagoba , MCC MBAYAYA , and MCC KAGINA all in Kamonyi District

Through data collection, interviews, and direct engagement with cooperative members, UGAMA is contributing to Identified  gaps in governance and financial management,Strengthening dairy value chains and Supporting sustainable and profitable cooperatives.

This initiative is a key step toward improving milk quality, increasing farmers’ income, and building a resilient dairy sector.
