UGAMA officially launched the new year with a comprehensive week-long workshop and training session that brought together all members of its team, including staff, internees, and volunteers. The sessions marked an important milestone for the organization, setting a strong foundation for the year ahead through reflection, learning, and strategic alignment.

The workshop focused on discussing and reviewing UGAMA’s new organizational direction, with particular emphasis on its updated vision and mission. Participants engaged in open and constructive discussions aimed at ensuring a shared understanding of UGAMA’s long-term goals and values.

Speaking during the opening session, the Executive Director of UGAMA emphasized the importance of collective alignment:

“Starting the year together allows us to reflect on where we are coming from, clarify where we are going, and strengthen our shared commitment to UGAMA’s mission. Our updated vision and mission reflect both our growth as an organization and our renewed ambition to create lasting impact.”

Another key focus of the workshop was the review of projects’ development, management, and implementation. Teams assessed ongoing initiatives, shared lessons learned, identified challenges, and explored practical approaches to enhance effectiveness, accountability, and impact across all programs.

The Executive Director highlighted the value of these exchanges, noting that:

“Strong projects are built on strong systems and informed teams. This workshop created a space for learning, honest dialogue, and innovation, which are essential for delivering quality programs to the communities we serve.”

Beyond strategic and technical discussions, the workshop also emphasized social life and team cohesion. Interactive activities and informal moments strengthened collaboration, trust, and a positive working environment among staff, internees, and volunteers.

By combining strategic reflection, capacity building, and social engagement, the week-long workshop successfully aligned UGAMA’s team around a shared direction and strengthened its readiness for the year ahead. UGAMA looks forward to translating the outcomes of these sessions into effective action and meaningful results.
